TANDEM Berlin makes you speak!
Students from all over the world enjoy it to study German at Tandem Berlin.
Classes are held in small groups (max. 11 students) in a relaxed and lively atmosphere. The objective of our teachers is to ensure that our students achieve communicative competence as well as a better understanding of the German grammar. Our courses run all year round and are available at every level (A1 - C1) for very reasonable prices. In addition to language courses, we offer "language exchanges" free of charge. Such "Tandems" are formed by native speakers of two different languages and their goal is to improve their language skills by talking to one another. Once a "Tandem" is fixed, the two partners meet when and where they like.
Berlin is simply the best. It is not only the capital, but also Germany's biggest and most culturally diverse city with a unique and vibrant night life. Are you also interested in history and culture? Here you will get an overdose. Berlin has something for everyone - from classic music to techno, from art galleries to graffiti on the remains of the Berlin Wall, from Museum Island to Christopher Street Day. If you should happen to get tired of visiting cultural events or trendy clubs and meeting new and interesting people, then you can enjoy our big parks, which can be found everywhere in the city, or you can take a trip to the city's green vicinity with its romantic forests and beautiful lakes. To top it all - Berlin is one of the cheapest metropolises in Europe.
The school was established in 1983. Tandem Berlin is licensed by The European Language Certificates and it offers official language exams. Our German courses are also recognized by CSN, the Swedish student aid organisation. Our school is located in the district of Prenzlauer Berg in one of Berlin's typical old residential buildings with a subway and tram station just around the corner. Prenzlauer Berg is currently the most lively and creative district in Berlin, only a stone's throw away from the city's historical centre. This area particularly attracts young people, with its outstanding international cultural scene. At the same time one is able to experience the scruffier side of the city - graffiti, crowded bars and derelict houses.
Tandem seeks accommodation for all students, upon request. Accommodation is always in one of the central districts of the city. Flats are normally shared with one or two persons. Your flat-mates may be workers, or they may be unemployed, they may be artists, students, unmarried couples - that is to say, real Berliners!
